Job Details

The HR Generalist will be responsible for duties performed at the professional level comprised of some of the following functional areas: benefits management, 401k plan administration and reporting, payroll functions, recruitment, employee relations, on-boarding, exit interviews and performance management. This position requires an extremely organized and professional individual who can relate to individuals of all levels within the organization. The Generalist must be sensitive to corporate needs, employee goodwill and the needs of the business.



  • Develop and release offer letters to approved candidates
  • Maintain employee and applicant documentation and personnel files
  • Manage and track performance and disciplinary documentation
  • Coach, counsel and provide guidance to managers prior to issuing disciplinary documentation
  • Maintain and process unemployment notices and employment verifications
  • Assist with recruitment efforts (i.e. job posting, prescreening and interviews)
  • Act as an employee relations specialist
  • Monitor and track attendance to ensure proper reporting
  • Manage HR functions in the Company’s payroll and reporting system
  • Initiate pre-employment background screening and drug testing
  • Ensure compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; perform periodic audits; manage H1B employee paperwork and compliance
  • Monitor employee performance notices and evaluations
  • Report, maintain and monitor Workers’ Compensation case file
  • Monitors employee eligibility for benefits plans. Reviews benefits with employees and processes enrollment, cancellation or changes. Organizes and manages annual open enrollment communications and election process. Maintains and distributes list of new and cancelled employees under each benefit plan. Verifies benefit billing accuracy and processes for payment.
  • Administers COBRA for group health plans
  • Manages the Company’s 401k plan (provides enrollment information, ensures enrollments and terminations are correctly entered into payroll, etc)
  • On Boarding of new hires and exit interviews for termed employees


Required Skills


  • Must be extremely organized and able to prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Must be able to work independently and as a team player
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional and ethical business practices
  • Very strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Familiar with payroll systems, ADP preferred

Education and Background


  • Associates Degree or equivalent years of experience
  • 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience
  • Experience in the administration of benefits and other HR programs
