About the Role:

Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will work extensively with the leadership team in carrying out the vision and strategy of the Firm. This position will be responsible for providing advanced HR support to a growing population of employees in multiple sites in the areas of staffing and talent development, performance management, training, employee relations, employment law and compliance, compensation, and payroll and benefits. This is a true HR generalist who will be a “doer” by getting involved in all aspects of the HR discipline, and taking great pride in building a world class HR organization.


Essential Functions


  1. Oversees the entire Recruiting effort in the Firm, and works closely with the leadership and management teams in identifying critical roles within the organization. This will involve, but is not limited to: sourcing, screening, interviewing candidates, conducting reference checks, creating offer letters, and conducting new hire orientation. Will also be responsible for implementing and managing an ATS and working with our immigration attorney in managing visas needed to hire new employees.
  2. Works with the Leadership team in overseeing the Jordan Park University internship program and creating relationships with various Universities and Colleges.
  3. Develops and administers various human resources policies and procedures for all company employees.
  4. Plans, organizes and controls all activities of the department. Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems; work the CEO and leadership team in ensuring the HR and Department goals are in line and support the corporate goals.


  1. Implements and annually updates the compensation program; rewrites job descriptions as necessary; conducts annual salary surveys and in partnership with the CEO and CFO, develops appropriate compensation budget; analyzes compensation; monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary. .
  2. Develops, recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures; performs payroll and benefits administration
  3. Works with leadership and management in working on employee relations issues; partners with external employment law counsel as needed and appropriate
  4. Creates a Training and Development curriculum which includes a management training program; interview skills training, anti-harassment training, etc. Helps coach management and leadership and acts as a true HR business partner
  5. Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws.
  6. Evaluates, implements and maintains an HRIS for the Firm


Key Attributes of the qualified candidate include:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8-10 years of HR experience in a Generalist role

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to maximize relationships and build trust

  • Strong business acumen and HR “instinct”

  • Analytic, strategic, and demonstrates high degree of confidentiality

  • Self-starter, proactive, and can identify HR and business needs for the Firm

  • SHRM - CP or SHRM-SCP Designation helpful
