Human Resources Generalist

Regular, full time │ location: San Mateo, CA


As a result of acquisition, SIGOS LLC has approximately fifty new employees in California and throughout the United States. We are looking for an energetic self-starter to help build the HR function from the ground up!

Your responsibilities:

  • Generalist responsibilities for approximately 50 employees in CA and other States
  • Full-cycle recruiting for all open positions (designing and placing job advertisements, applicant management, pre-selection and interviews in close cooperation with the managers)
  • Performing daily administrative tasks (e.g. contract management, employee file management, data entry, payroll preparations)
  • Policy creation and communication
  • Benefit administration (with Third Party Administrator new hires/changes/terms as well as educational meetings, benefits questions, and Open Enrollment) and billing (in coordination with Controller)
  • Semi-monthly payroll (ADP Workforce Now)
  • Coordinate leave management with vendor
  • Ensure compliance with Federal, State and local laws
  • Collaborating on HR projects with the rest of the HR Team
  • Creating regular HR reports and statistics 
  • Coordinate Company picnic and other events

Requirements

  •  Bachelor´s degree in HR, Business, or related field
  •  PHR preferred
  • Five + years strong HR Generalist experience
  • Knowledge of Federal and State (CA) employment laws, income tax laws as well as social security laws advantageous
  • Experience running payroll (ADP experience desired)
  • Three to five years benefits administration experience
  • Experience with visas preferable
  • Very good MS Office skills
  • Strong team orientation, confident communication skills and intercultural competence
  • Reliable, proactive and well-structured working approach, even when working under pressure
  • Must be able to work flexible morning hours to communicate with our headquarters in Nuremberg, Germany
  • Travel to the Nuremberg, Germany office may be required
