As a Human Resource Generalist focusing on talent acquisition you will be accountable for:

Branding

  • Collaborate with marketing to create a strategic approach to employer branding that will attract top talent and support employee retention across the employment lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with managers and other HR functions to implement a framework that will ensure the promises to applicants that are articulated throughout the candidate experience is also delivered throughout the employment lifecycle.
  • Develop advertising programs (internal and external) to ensure high visibility with potential candidates.

Sourcing

  • Manage the company’s recruiting needs by partnering with hiring managers to determine staffing needs.
  • Review and analyze employment applications and resumes.
  • Update and maintain recruitment reports in order to track employees’ movement and employment activity rate.
  • Manage all position requisitions, candidates, and referrals in the applicant tracking system (ATS).

The Candidate Experience

  • Conduct initial phone screen, arrange interview appointments, when necessary participate in the in-person interviews, and administer appropriate assessments. Consult with management on best interviewing practices.
  • Facilitate pre-employment background screening and drug testing, reference checking, make recommendations for hire (or not hire) and delivers employment offers for both exempt and non-exempt position openings.
  • Follow up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding recruiting process.
  • Manage internal transfer process, including screening, coordination of interviews with hiring manager, transfer offer letters, etc.

Administrative Duties

  • Manage and work with department managers to update job descriptions as needed to fill new positions or as job requirements change.
  • Assist new hires with paperwork, review I-9 and process E-Verify within appropriate timelines.
  • Assist with the first day of onboarding for each new employee by reviewing the new hire paperwork and escorting the new employee to their manager.
  • Works with hiring managers to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations
  • Maintains memberships and affiliations with trade/professional organizations related to industry.


Requirements

  • Minimum three years of recent working experience as a Recruiter or HR Generalist responsible for talent acquisition.
  • Experience in working with social media, job placement agencies, and online job search engines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate all levels of staff.
  • Strong ability to work independently, efficiently, and effectively in a multi- project, multi-demanding environment.
  • High level of organization and attention to detail with strong ethics to maintain strict confidentiality. Proficient in end-user software programs e.g. word-processing, spreadsheet software, and human resources information systems.
