Responsible for making our #1 critical success factor, safety first, a priority in all tasks and activities performed by self and all others involved. Promote On Electric Group’s Core Values, safety culture and Continuous Process Improvement (CPI). Working under the general direction of the Director of HR - performs HR Generalist functions at a professional level. Provides general support to management and employees pertaining to employment, employee relations, and. Primary duties include administration of human resources activities.

• Assists on a variety of policy and benefit administration items. Answers basic policy or benefit questions. 
• Screen and assist in interviewing and hiring candidates for open positions. Ensure completion of required pre-employment testing (MVR, drug test, background verifications), and new hire paperwork.
• Responsible for accurate tracking of information containing personal information and ensuring compliance with all confidentiality requirements, including corporate guidelines and HIPAA. 
• Consults with supervisors and managers on employee relations, human resources issues including coaching and disciplinary action.
• Supports HR orientations in conjunction with local safety professional for day one onboarding
• Completes all new hire paperwork and transfer information to corporate HR
• Completes verifications of employment and other requests requiring employment verification per established processes and procedures.
• Assists in compilation of information for federally mandated reporting – EEO-1, Vets 100
• Assists in compilation of information for reports requested through CSG/MDU
• Assists in the administration, communication, and interpretation of policies that relate to the human resources function including, but not limited to, harassment and violence in the workplace, benefits, employment, and paid time off. 
• Support recruitment process, including posting jobs internally and externally and following process through closeout of requisition. 
• Perform additional duties as assigned


Must possess a working knowledge of business and human resource practices at a level normally acquired through the completion of a four-year degree in business administration or human resources management. Must have a minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in a human resources role. SHRM-CP certification required. Experience in the construction industry preferred.
