The HR Leader is a management level, hands-on role with primary focus on developing, implementing, driving and delivering world-class HR processes, procedures and practices resulting in a high-performance, high-quality, results-oriented workforce and work environment, exceeding company goals and customer expectations.

Expectations and demands on the HR Leader are high. The HR Leader’s success as a developer, implementer, achiever and valued advisor throughout all levels of the company is essential to our continued rapid growth and development.

The successful HR Leader has significant growth and earnings potential based upon performance, value and the increasing needs of our rapidly growing, extremely successful company. Currently, we rely on a one-person HR operation. We anticipate the Human Resources Department, under direction of the HR Leader, will grow proportionally to the ever increasing needs of the company.

The HR Leader reports directly to the company President.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develops, coordinates, implements, administers and exercises responsibility for all HR related functions, policies, processes, procedures and results throughout the company.
  • Ensures compliance with all HR related federal, state, local laws, requirements, policies, procedures and results reporting with extreme emphasis on full compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), the Department of Labor, worker compensation, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
  • Researches available material, recommends, develops and implements management approved HR related best practices throughout the company.
  • Manages company and employee communications and feedback through such avenues as employee satisfaction surveys; company, department and individual meetings; suggestion programs and focus groups.
  • Keeps management team informed on significant problems jeopardizing performance, achievement of company goals and issues not adequately addressed by management.
  • Develops, implements and administers company performance management, personal/professional development programs, metrics and reporting materials needed to ensure compliance with all federal, state and local requirements, accomplishing all company goals.
  • Conducts investigations into employee and management complaints, issues and situations, making recommendations, reporting and problem resolution as necessary.
  • Monitors and advises management in progressive discipline systems.  Monitors performance improvement processes with non-performing employees.
  • Develops, coordinates, implements and administers employee benefit and compensation programs throughout the company including pay policies, bonuses and raises.
  • Develops and maintains local market benefits, wage and salary structure recommendations to ensure a competitive and stable workforce. Provides reports to management, minimum annually, 
  • Primary point of contact and liaison with external providers and vendors for services and products within the HR scope.
  • Responsible for all staffing functions within the company as determined by senior management.
  • Effectively anticipates, coordinates and maintains necessary staffing needs and levels throughout the company.
  • Updates and maintains organization chart.
  • Prepares and conducts professional and performance development and other HR related training for employees and management.
  • Ensures all company HRIS information is correct and current.
  • Responsible for company security including developing, implementing and managing and enforcing appropriate policies and procedures, identification badges (as/if directed by management) and access to and within all company facilities for all employees and non-employees (guests, clients, visitors, vendors, etc.).


Requirements for Position

  • Minimum 5 plus years Human Resources experience
  • Minimum bachelor degree from an accredited college or university
  • Expertise and hands-on experience in Employee Relations and Compensation & Benefits positions
  • Must be hands-on and able to excel in a high-speed, autonomous environment.

Desired Qualifications for Position

  • Masters-level degree or studies in an HR related area
  • Experience in or thorough working knowledge of Talent Acquisition and Organizational Development.
  • Experience in a rapid-growth, high performance manufacturing company.
