We are looking for a strategic thinker with experience in all phases of California  HR related activities to lead the HR function and join our leadersersihip team as we build on our goal of being an outstanding employer.

▪Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.

▪ Partners with CFF executive team to develop and execute long-term strategies for building strong employee culture and positive work environment.

▪ Maintains, amends and communicates Employee Handbook to ensure compliance with longterm business strategy, federal, state, and local regulations.

▪Ensures HR policies and procedures align with the company mission and strategic goals.

▪Partners with hiring managers to recruit, interview, test, and select employees to fill vacant positions.

▪Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.

▪Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.

▪Coordinates management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment.

▪Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.

▪Conducts and documents investigations into allegations of discrimination or harassment under federal and state regulations. Accurately documents investigations and outcomes.

▪Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.

▪Oversees timecard preparation and partners with payroll provider to ensure timely and accurate payment of wages.

▪Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.

▪Administers salary administration program to ensure compliance and equity within organization.

▪Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, and leave of absence.

▪Serves as first point of contact for workplace injuries and partners with Work Comp carrier to manage workers’ compensation claims.

▪Conducts wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage rate.

▪Prepares budget of human resources operations.

▪Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.

▪Prepares reports and recommends procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover.

▪Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.

▪Is consistently at work and on time; ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent.

▪Is able to work cooperatively with all levels of the organization, outside vendors, and customers.




BA or BS from accredited college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Previous experience with California regulations required

Valid CA Driver's License and proof of insurance

PHR or SPHR Preferred
