Position Description:

We offer an exciting opportunity for an innovative and self-motivated Human Resources Manager who is looking for a well-rounded, hands-on experience within a stable and unique industry. Plastipak is the largest privately-held plastic rigid manufacturer in North America, with global operations.

 

In this role, you are responsible for supporting Core Business Processes through the identification and development of human capital (recruiting, training, performance management, etc.).  You will lead change efforts and evolve the organization culture by implementing, enhancing, and strengthening systems.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Participates on the Site Steering team.
  • Oversees all HR Functions at the site.
  • Serves as the Subject Matter Expert for staffing and retention.
  • Implements training systems for workforce development.
  • Conducts training (New Hire Orientation, Skill Block Training).
  • Facilitates payroll management in Kronos Timekeeping System.
  • Administers Leave of Absences (STD, LTD, FMLA).
  • Assists managers/ leaders with employee performance and coaching.
  • Addresses and resolves employee relations matters.
  • Coordinates and oversees safety programs.
  • Maintains training, legal, and governmental documentation.
  • Participates in organizational development initiatives.
  • Responsible for maintaining ISO, OSHA, GMP, and Food Safety standards.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Human Resource Management or related discipline.
  • Five to ten years of progressive HR experience.
  • Experience with all aspects of HR functions in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must have strong leadership skills and previous experience with supervision is preferred.
  • Must possess solid communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be team-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Computer literate.
