Golden Hippo Media is proud of the excellent team we've built, and we're now looking for an experienced and talented HR Manager to drive our established initiatives forward. People operations is the core of any business, ideally we are seeking someone who is just as passionate about people as we are. This person will play an important role in the future of Golden Hippo Media by adopting specific verticals of the HR team. We are seeking someone who is seasoned in Conflict resolution, Benefits, Payroll, and Recruiting

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work directly with existing recruiting team to create and implement ‘best in class’ recruitment strategies for each business function
  • Work closely with our interview teams and leadership to build and efficient recruiting process
  • Advise managers and executives on compensation strategies, building an efficient pipeline and proper workforce planning to reach hiring targets
  • Identify new ways to build awareness of Golden Hippo Media in new hiring markets
  • Establish each stage of the hiring process including candidate experience, pipeline management and candidate quality to support continuous improvement
  • Take ownership of recruitment, talent management, employee relations, conflict resolution and more
  • Promote feedback mechanisms for employees to influence the continuous improvement of HR services and processes
  • Create and maintain strong, positive relationships with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Facilitate resolution of employee relations issues. Provide counsel that is consistent with company policies and practices, legal considerations, etc
  • Coordinate onboarding and orientation activities for Golden Hippo Media employees and helps integrate new staff members

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • HR Industry Certification preferred (PHR / SPHR/ SHRM – CP/SCP)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Minimum two years Management/Leadership experience is preferred
  • Proven track record of positively influencing teams and their leaders required
  • Ability to connect and engage with all teams at all levels and treat everyone as equal required
  • 5+ years of recruiting and HR experience, preferably in a high growth environment
  • Ability to be a coach, mentor, advisor and partner all at the same time required
  • 5+ years knowledge of Employee Relations, Conflict Resolution and experience with Investigations is required
  • Must be able to work under pressure and deal with complex issues
  • Experienced decision maker who uses good reasoning and sound judgment required
  • Ability to be discreet and maintain confidentiality is required
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships to develop and deliver fair and equitable solutions
  • Professional demeanor with ability to maintain composure and sensitivity in high stress situations required
  • Must be self-motivated and have an enhanced ability to prioritize/plan in a fast paced environment
  • Must have strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to be a strong team player required – you will be asked to assist in other areas of Human Resources as needed
  • Superior written and oral communication skills required
