Job Details

The Human Resources Site Manager provides HR support to local business unit(s). Under the direction of the Director of Human Resource the position will provide consultation, coaching and guidance to management, offering a local point of contact for HR matters and services. While the main focus is employee relations and compliance, the scope of the role also includes compliance, communication, performance management, and handling routine general inquiries from employees. Conducts training in support of HR initiatives in order to support and implement HR strategy. Collaborates with the HR team (Corporate & Field) to ensure HR data is handled in timely and efficient manner. 

Requirements

Employee Relations:

  • Act as the facilitator to management on all employee relations matters, ensuring that situations and concerns are handled effectively and timely.
  • Analyze situations, investigate, identify root causes and provide effective, proactive resolution. Responsible and accountable for all logging, tracking, monitoring and implementation of corrective actions for employee relations issues, complaints and grievances received through any means (i.e., hotline, verbal, etc.)
  • Create, foster, and maintain presence as an employee advocate
  • Create and maintain a positive employee relations environment through the following actions:
  • Respond to and communicate with customers/clients on routine inquiries as required
  • Participate in investigations and preparation of associated documentation
  • Issuance of termination letters and other documentation, ensuring timely termination of payroll and other benefits, final paycheck and associated documentation
  • Conduct exit interviews
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all Federal, State and Local legal requirements and YLA Values, Policies, Procedures and Practices, including (J)SOX compliance.
  • Operate autonomously while consulting with HR managers to ensure unified presentation of HR to Business Unit(s)
  • Locally facilitate alignment and improvement of HR policies, processes and programs, ensuring the adherence to applicable laws and to YLA HR business practices.


Communication:

  • Promote open and frequent communication in all directions with target audiences
  • Act as the key HR contact for launching and implementation of training programs, Benefits programs, and other corporate sponsored events.
  • Talent Pool:
    • Support local management in fostering an environment for talent development and growth. Collaborate with SVP & GM of Human Resource to identify opportunities for individual and structural changes.

 

Recruitment: 

Handles local responsibilities including:

  • Manage interview schedules/general communication with applicants
  • Issuance of employment letters, arrange pre-employment checks and drug screening
  • Coordinate and facilitate local On-Boarding/Orientation
  • Coordinate/perform I-9 verification
  • Coordinate new-hire and ongoing paperwork flow to the HR administrative team
  • Arrange schedules and time tables for events and programs, as needed
  • Educate managers and staff appropriately to leverage HR technologies and systems to drive fact-based decisions; run queries to support Operations team as required
  • Support company commitment to continuous improvement – Kaizen
  • Make recommendations on remedies to the SVP & GM of Human Resources
  • Manage special projects and ongoing initiatives as assigned
