Job Details

The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for the day to day functions of activities in the Human Resources Department.  The HR Manager serves as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert to our employees on Human Resources related issues.  The manager will guide our team on employee relations, compliance, performance management, culture/engagement, company policy, staffing, compensation, benefits and oversight of the hiring process.


  • Works with and supports the VP of Human Resources to promote a positive work environment for the HR team and offers direction, training and support as needed to team members.
  • Develops and administers employment policies, procedures and carries out personal objectives and programs.
  • In collaboration with the VP of Human Resources, develops employee engagement programs to promote a positive work culture.
  • Provides guidance and support to managers and employees on all issues relating to human resources functions and seeks information through available resources when necessary.
  • Assures company compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Manages and processes unemployment claims and attends hearings.  Maintains regular communication with unemployment vendor and mangers when claims arise.
  • Responsible for reporting on monthly HR metrics. 
  • Training and development of managers.
  • Works with managers on the development and revisions of job descriptions on all positions, reviews and updates annually.
  • Manages the performance appraisal process for all staff.
  • Works in collaboration with the payroll department to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Assists in the evaluation and design of benefit programs.
  • Represents the HR Department on various internal committees and project committees.
  • Conducts Exit Interviews and works with managers and VP of HR to identify any trends.
  • Responsible for the Agency’s on boarding engagement process.
  • Supervises a team of 3.



  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of HR Management experience.
  • Previous experience in healthcare preferred
  • SHRM and/or HCI certification a plus.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Good formal presentation and strong customer service skills.
  • Proficient in computer programs such as Word and Excel.
