Job Details

We are a national maintenance company based in Bensenville, IL. We are seeking a full time HR manager. This individual will work with a staff of about five employees that are in charge of payroll, invoicing, expenses and other main office functions. The candidate must be trustworthy, detail oriented, have outstanding interpersonal skills and be able to provide a high level of client service.  The person’s responsibilities will include the following:

  • Ensure compliance with state and federal labor and employment laws
  • Maintain all compliance for Form I-9s and other compliance reports, as needed.
  • Process worker’s compensation, unemployment claims
  • Coordinate and manage office staff
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws governing employment
  • Employee Relations / Labor Relations
  • Interact with employees to ensure that HR is fully accessible to the organization
  • Handle all office purchasing with vendors
  • Proven ability to effectively juggle multiple initiatives and work in an environment with shifting priorities
  • Respond to employee questions, review issues and employee concerns in expedient manner
  • Advise managers on HR issues relating to their offices and staff
  • Maintain personnel records on all employees
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned




  • A team player that will support and cooperate with others. 
  • Great communication skills both verbal and written required.
  • A working knowledge of PC software and hardware, including the Internet and Microsoft Office applications required (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook).
  • Be able to use/learn QuickBooks
  • Client service mindset required
  • Good organizational skills
