Job Details & Position Summary:

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (with dotted line reporting to the President) this position is responsible for management and oversight of all HR functions of T.M. Cobb Company, including core HR processes and programs, employee onboarding, and employee relations and development of a 400 + person workforce.   T. M. Cobb is a well- established (80+ years) family owned business that operates multiple manufacturing and distribution facilities in California.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Operate as a business partner with the Cobb leadership team

  • Provide HR generalist support for the following core processes and programs

    • Employee Onboarding

    • Total compensation

    • Benefits enrollment and related administration

    • Performance management

    • Training and development

    • Workers compensation administration

    • Compliance – HIPPA, ADA, EEOC AND FMLA

  • Acts as point of contact for HR needs for employees and managers

  • Compiles and provides accurate HR metrics to leadership team

  • Effectively manages employee relations issues; conduct timely investigations; prepare documentation in partnership with leadership team and Legal

  • Manages HR staff to provide high level of administrative support

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in manufacturing/distribution organization

  • Demonstrated ability to build trust- based relationships with all employees

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (Bilingual in Spanish is a plus)

  • Ability to implement and manage company-wide programs, processes and procedures

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills

  • Advanced level skills with Microsoft Office
