Armstrong Flooring, Inc. (AFI) has a job opportunity for an HR Manager/Senior HR Manager to be located in Lancaster, PA. Reporting to the Vice President, Human Resources, the HR Manager/Senior HR Manager role will provide the full spectrum of human resources generalist support to assigned client groups.

 

Key Responsibilities of the HR Manager:

  • Functioning as a business partner for senior leaders of assigned client groups
  • Providing leadership and support in the selection, hiring, orientation, development and retention of employees
  • Keeping informed of matters affecting employee morale and recommends programs to foster positive employee engagement and two-way communication between employees and management
  • Providing counsel to employees on a wide range of HR-related concerns and questions
  • Leading talent reviews and succession planning activities for assigned client groups
  • Ensuring global HR processes such as annual performance management is executed effectively 
  • Leading organization design, workforce planning and restructuring activities
  • Promoting and participating in process improvement and change initiatives
  • Ensuring compliance with all EEOC, AAP, and ADA requirements and applicable employment laws, regulations, and policies

 

Requirements

Required Qualifications for the HR Manager:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or a related field  
  • 10+ years human resources experience
  • 5+ years in an HR Generalist role    
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively influence others in a highly matrixed organization

 

Desired Qualifications for the HR Manager:

  • Graduate degree
  • PHR or SPHR certification
  • Previous experience with DiSC, 5 Behaviors of a Cohesive Team, DDI training materials and/or similar programs
  • Experience using an HRIS (SAP preferred)
