Based in Orlando, FL

 

 

Position Summary:

 

Advise and support location managers on a variety of tactical and strategic people issues in areas such as employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, retention, and engagement.

Key Objectives/ Principal Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:


Serve as a consultant to management on HR related issues such as talent and performance management, leadership development, labor relations, retention, engagement, etc.


Support the organization’s growth by championing change and challenging the leaders on organizational structure

Provide day-to-day guidance to front line managers and other team members which may include coaching, counseling, career development, policy interpretation, and general guidance on any HR related policy or procedure to include, but not limited to, FMLA, FLSA, ADAA, etc.

Manage complex employee relations issues and conduct effective investigations as necessary

Propose and implement location programs through translation of people strategy and goals

Manage the Human Resources function to ensure objectives are met through established

policy, procedure, activities, and management practices

Partner with HR colleagues to implement and administer policies and programs covering compensation, benefits, employee relations, payroll, talent management, talent acquisition, and retention

Foster a culture that embraces differences, creativity, diversity, and engagement.

Ensure the organization has the capabilities and skills to deliver on business strategy

Build leadership capability in management through effective coaching and mentoring.

Additional HR related duties such as conducting exit interviews, data gathering and reporting, assisting in the process of payroll and/or HRIS related changes and updates, and assisting in the recruiting process as necessary

Ensure compliance of federal and state regulations

Requirements

Bachelor degree in human resources, business administration, or other related area


Professional HR certification preferred


3-5 years of relevant work experience as either an HR Generalist or a combination of Generalist and Specialist experience


Experience with cross-functional and multi-functional project team(s) as a member and/or lead

 

Previous HR experience in a manufacturing environment or aircraft maintenance operation strongly preferred.
