The individual in this role will manage and provide HR Services under a shared services model for company entities within the US and Canada. The focus of the role is to ensure that HR processes and practices are competitive, compliant aligned to the business needs and clearly communicated. This role must tightly coordinate activities with HR Business Partners in the US and Canada to ensure alignment and a shared solutions oriented focus.
The incumbent will have the following key responsibilities; however, the business reserves the right to add other reasonable duties within the scope of the role.

  • Continuously assess HR processes, implement improvements and communicate appropriately to ensure that there is clarity and consistency.
  • Direct HR services team that handles payroll, benefits administration, policies, records, SAP, compliance etc.
  • Maximize the use of ADP and explore its (or alternative tool) use as an employee communications portal.
  • Coordinate with recruitment to ensure that Affirmative Action principles, applicant tracking requirements and outplacement actives are embraced and effective.
  • Partner with external vendor to produce Affirmative Action plan early in the year so that goals can be communicated and acted upon.
  • Define and assign on-line compliance and other management training and maintain LMS.
  • Participate in salary surveys.
  • Provide guidance on salary issues; implement annual salary review process and incentive program.
  • Manage employee on-boarding along with HRBP.
  • Create and maintain SOP’s for core processes.
  • Support local M&A activity as appropriate
  • Supervise and provide the local HR team; modeling performance management principles and Hexagon values

  • Significant generalist HR experience at a Senior HR level with practical experience in benefits, payroll and HR administrative services
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in people management
  • Experience working within a complex, matrixed organisation
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively and constructively in a team environment

  • BS degree in Human Resources Management, Business or related field.
  • Relevant professional certifications and memberships will also be highly regarded


  • Occasional travel may be required for business meetings or training


  • Considerable experience working with SAP and ADP Payroll preferred Fluent working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
