Loudoun County Government, located in Leesburg, Virginia, is seeking a highly qualified Workforce Planning Specialist to join the Department of Human Resources.

What You Will Do

As a Workforce Planning Specialist you will partner with County agencies to provide HR services in the areas of recruitment and selection; classification and compensation; and diversity and inclusion. Specifically, this position will: provide consultation on County policies and procedures; manage the full-cycle recruitment and selection process (posting advertisements, screening applications, background process, and salary determinations); classification and compensation services to include, assisting with salary offers, and reviewing and analyzing new and existing positions to fit within the County’s classification system; participate in market surveys; and manage HR reports and data to assist with implementation of the County’s new Oracle ERP system.

Partner with hiring managers to source, recruit, and hire the best talent for their agencies.

Partner with the Workforce Planning team to develop and implement strategies to attract and retain maximum talent for critical positions in the County.

Contribute your knowledge of best practices and identify recruiting trends to enhance our talent acquisition function.

What You Will Need

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field, and three (3) years of direct HR program experience. Full-cycle recruiting for various and critical positions with demonstrated experience utilizing creativity and innovative ideas to attract talent. High level of interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Analytical skills essential in reviewing data, drawing conclusions and being able to prepare the information in a comprehensive manner. HRIS experience a plus. A highly collaborative nature. You will need to be able to build strong relationships with your HR team, County agencies, and external groups.

PHR and/or SHRM-CP certification is highly preferred. Successful candidate will undergo criminal background and credit checks.
