Summary of the HRIS Administrator (UltiPro) - North America:

The HRIS Administrator (UltiPro) will provide support across Axalta’s $1.7 B U.S. and Canada-based operations, comprised of over 3000 employees distributed across 12 manufacturing sites, 6 distribution centers, 10 training centers, 3 R&D centers, the Pennsylvania-based Corporate Headquarters, and multiple field sales locations. This role reports to the Compensation, Benefits & Shared Services Manager, North America.

The most important criteria for this role is strong experience as a Human Resources Information System (HRIS) Administrator on an enterprise-wide level. Prior UltiPro/Ultimate Software experience, while not absolutely required, is strongly preferred. The successful candidate will have broad HRIS experience, including:

  • Set-up & configuration of security roles, tables, workflow, and business rules 
  • Data mapping, correction, cleansing, import & export data
  • Strong expertise building reports and manipulating data using Business Intelligence software; experience using Cognos a definite plus
  • Creation of standard work, policies, and procedures around HRIS maintenance and application

The individual in this role must be adept at not only the technical aspects of HRIS, but also at dealing with internal customers at all levels of the organization. This individual must also have a sound understanding of how to support through HRIS a growing and changing business, and will be a capable and credible business consultant to both HR and Line Management.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES of the HRIS Administrator (UltiPro) - North America:

  • Manage HR systems outside of HRIS, including MS SharePoint-based HR Intranet site and Performance Management System
  • Provide training and guidance to system end users, create and/or update training and process documentation
  • Collaborate with Ultipro system vendor technical support in regards to functional issues and addressing special business needs and projects
  • Serve as main point of contact for reporting, creating new reports and running existing reports
  • Provide back-up support for payroll as needed


QUALIFICATIONS of the HRIS Administrator (UltiPro) - North America:

  • Bachelor's Degree 
  • At least 5 years’ experience in an HRIS role, or in a HR role with a strong HRIS component
  • Previous experience as a systems “super-user”
  • Professional-level proficiency in advanced MS Excel 
  • Experience using a case management system and knowledge portal
  • Microsoft SharePoint experience strongly preferred 
  • Payroll experience a definite plus

ADDITIONAL SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED of the HRIS Administrator (UltiPro) - North America:

  • Prior Project Management capability & experience, including the ability to handle multiple ongoing projects at once while still maintaining day-to-day operational requirements
  • Ability to resolve routine HRIS problems and questions independently
  • Strong bias for action and keen sense of urgency
  • Highly detailed and results oriented 
  • Exceptional data analytics & problem solving skills
  • Flexible and adaptable to demanding and fast-paced work environment
