Job Summary
This position requires a hands-on HRIS &Benefits Specialist who will be responsible for the accurate, timely entry, maintenance and integrity of data for the HR system (Compass), primarily for the Everett location, and may support other ECCS locations as needed. Primary support for local Everett employees and managers. The role includes other HR administrative and operational duties such as benefits and FMLA coordination.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Enter all personnel/employment data into the Compass HRIS and LMS System. Ensure that data recorded in Compass matches HR operations
  • Administer Benefits and FMLA locally, including tracking elections and answering questions based on business needs.
  • Ensure data entered is in line with Company programs/policies
  • Conducts New Hire Administration.
  • Perform regular system audits to identify inconsistencies and ensure data integrity. Correct data as needed, or guide others to correct their errors
  • Respond to inquiries from other HR staff related to the entry and/or accuracy of data in Compass
  • Work with Corporate HR Operations and HRIS to identify ways to reduce errors in data entry and assist in implementing improved processes/systems
  • Act as a change champion, providing training, general guidance and assistance to employees and managers regarding Compass usage and self-service functionalities
  • Ensure local training content and events are captured correctly in the LEARN LMS System by working with the local owners. Serve as subject matter expert for LEARN in delivery options for the locally developed training.
  • Support training content owner with pre/post user enrollments. Including pre-work, courses requiring approval prior to enrollment and similar support.
  • Run reports of basic to moderate complexity from Compass as requested by a variety of internal customers such as HR, Finance, Managers
  • Participate in the implementation of new systems, processes or functionality
  • Work with Corporate COEs to ensure workforce structures are maintained up to date for proper person categorization (thinking about requests for new/changing departments, job codes, locations, etc)
  • Participates in regular HRIS & LMS Specialist team meetings
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Excellent data entry skills and attention to detail with an understanding of the impact of data entry mistakes on the organization and its employees
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Excellent computer proficiency
  • Excellent customer service skills at all levels of management
  • Excellent organization skills and proven attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and use judgment on sensitive issues
  • Ability to work effectively with inter-department teams and to encourage strong working relationships
  • Ability to tolerate ambiguity and be able to work effectively within a dynamic environment
  • Ability to ask questions and follow up in order to ensure data integrity

Education/Previous Experience Requirements
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business or related field
  • Previous experience in Oracle, Workday or other Cloud based HRIS & LMS tools
  • 5+ years of solid experience in several HR functions, including Benefits, HRIS, and training and development
  • Experience working in Manufacturing or large employee site with 500+ employees
  • PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
