The HRIS Manager reports to the Sr. Manager, Talent & HR Systems and leads a team of professionals with the responsibility of supporting HR and talent related software systems and processes at McKee Foods.


Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (or as required by business needs)

Job Summary

  • Leading group that performs functional administration, configuration, and maintenance of HR and talent software systems.  The specific systems may change over time, but currently include the areas of: Human resources, timekeeping, benefits, compensation, talent and succession, recruiting, learning, reporting/analytics, document management, regulatory compliance, safety and occupational health.
  • Leading corporate HR services team that is responsible for executing many of the HR back-office transaction and support functions (including transactional data entry, filing, etc.)
  • Continually refine, develop, and communicate both an overall strategy – as well as operational plans to execute that strategy – for the HR business systems department.
  • Work with business leaders across all functions of the company to identify needs related to HR systems and processes, and then prioritize those as part of an overall HR business systems departmental strategy.
  • Partner with HR management at both corporate and branch locations to ensure alignment of HR systems and processes with their needs.
  • Work as a liaison and partner with IT in coordination on processes, system integrations and other technical functions.
  • Effective management of a team of 8-10 professionals, ensuring that goals and projects are appropriately defined and that milestones and deadlines are being met.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, HR, or related field
  • 5 or more years of related experience
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop, manage and inspire others
  • Analytical mindset and strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to draw conclusions and provide insights from data and research
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate across a wide variety of audiences
  • Strong experience with MS Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel 
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Ability to work under pressure; including short timelines, interruptions, and changing priorities
  • Demonstrated high level of personal integrity

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in related field
  • 10 years of HRIS management experience
  • Experience managing teams that are responsible for administering and/or supporting enterprise solutions in a business environment
  • Familiarity with HR and talent-related systems and practices
  • Familiarity with enterprise systems for managing safety and occupational health
  • Experience with setup and ongoing administration of Workday (specifically HCM, U.S. Payroll, Recruiting, and/or Learning)
  • Experience with Kronos software
  • Project management certification (e.g. Project+, CAPM, PMP, etc.)
  • HR certification from HRCI or SHRM (e.g. PHR, SPRH, SHRM CP, SHRM SCP, etc.)
  • Workday PRO certification(s)
  • Experience working with lean or continuous improvement principles to solve problems and eliminate waste
