To undertake such a huge task, we need a Human Capital Director who understands more than how to get along with people. This person must be an operator, know how to build teams, how to implement and drive processes, and be a trusted advisor to the business. We want someone who can bring experience to the table, while thinking outside of the box. We are driven by data and the people we support. The Manager must have an analytical brain, with the ability to understand process and driving efficiencies.  This role also requires someone who works with the senior executive team to design the optimal organization, to streamline and make more efficient decisions related to people and staffing, and works to put in place other HR resources to help recruiting, compensation management, and performance management occur.  Vivint Solar is fast moving and rapidly changing organization. You must be adaptable to change, not thrown off by change in direction, and able to get results quickly. This is not an organization for someone who requires significant planning and who does not thrive in ambiguity.

 

The Human Capital Director is the first contact for executives and the extended leadership team in HR. They will handle performance/talent management strategy, organization effectiveness/efficiency, compensation management, and creating optimal human capital infrastructure within their assigned organizations. We could use a lot of fancy words to explain the job, but in short, help the leaders win. If there is a people component, work with the leadership to make it work.

 

You’ll change the world by...

  • Guide client group customers to identified objectives by developing, coaching, and empowering
  • Integrate various HR products, services, and processes into your assigned business units
  • Interpret organizational strategies and offer up appropriate HR solutions
  • Work with senior leadership team and your human capital generalist staff to establish and maintain competitive programs that attract and retain high quality employees in a cost effective manner
  • Collaborate, develop and deliver HR policies, practices, and procedures that guide the business while achieving compliance
  • Participate in the internal marketing of HR to the rest of the organization
  • Implement Human Capital policies
  • Partner with business operations to ensure a complete understanding of business needs and objectives and resolves HR issues.
  • HR liaison for most of the following areas: succession planning, talent management, employee relations, compensation, merit and bonus processes

  • Ability to work in a fast paced dynamic environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to support client organizations from a sound understanding of customer needs and processes.

  • Experience leading a team that managed high growth at a fast pace
  • Strong computer skills using Microsoft, HRIS and Applicant Tracking tools
  • Experience in performance management and talent management initiatives
  • Operations and process improvement experience
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization, including remote areas
  • Ability to effectively lead and manage a team

Requirements

You’ll know you’re ready if you have...

  • Undergraduate Degree (BS/BA), preferably in Business or Human Resources
  • Graduate Degree (MBA, MHR, etc.) or PHR/SPHR preferred
  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in an HR Director or Human Capital Business Partner role with responsibility over 500+ employees or experience running an Operations team with accountability to business metrics.
  • Shaped the compensation structure, redesigned/reorganized staffing for large parts of the business, and you’ve created and led human resources initiatives at executive levels
  • Preferred experience in fast growth environment, where 50%+ growth is the norm and multiple offices across the United States and/or abroad are under your management.
  • Change management is a large part of your job undertakings
