Salary: $120,000 to $135,000 DOQ.

In 2014, Mayor Ed Murray and the City Council tasked the Seattle Department of Human Resources (SDHR) to achieve greater workforce equity, alignment, excellence and accountability by consolidating all Human Resources services throughout the City into SDHR. Immediate openings are available for HR Directors and Managers to facilitate this consolidation.

The Director of Compensation, Benefits and HRIS will lead the design, development, implementation and delivery of Seattle’s classification, compensation and benefits strategy as well as the management of HRIS.

The HR Business Partners will work in the Parks and Transportation departments, and with SDHR, to provide expert direction and guidance to employees and management staff by planning, developing, implementing, evaluating and managing HR programs and guidelines that support City and departmental objectives.

Requirements

Requires a combination of education, training and experience to accomplish the essential job duties AND experience managing and supervising staff. A college degree and HR certification are preferred. Prior experience in a municipal setting is a plus.
