A Medical Services Organization in Brooklyn is currently seeking a Human Resource Generalist with strong interpersonal and analytical skills to join our facility. The qualified candidate will provide generalist support in all functional areas of HR, including:

  • Recruitment, on-boarding, employee relations, compensation guidance, benefits, performance management and employee recognition. This is an extremely fast-paced environment, requiring the ability to change focus quickly and stay up-to-date with multiple priorities and demands for all physician practices. Duties will include but not limited to the following:
    • Partnering closely with Hiring Managers to analyze and update job descriptions for open positions 
    • Conducting regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and status updates  
    • Posting internal and external positions on the (Healthcare Source Position Manager), the applicant tracking system  
    • Sourcing, screening and interviewing candidates for job opportunities
    • Explaining benefit plans/ programs offered to employees
    • Preparing and reviewing all new hire documents for completeness in a timely manner for payroll
  • Provide day-to day guidance, coaching and support to management and staff regarding employee relations issues, performance management, policies and procedures and interpretation of employment laws, while maintaining a positive employee-employer relationship and promoting a high level of employee commitment
  • Participant in programs to maintain a union free environment
  • Assist with employee inquiries and process all enrollment updates with insurance carriers
  • Maintain and update employee handbook, manuals and performance management process and monitor completion status
  • Participate in HR events, special projects and performs all other duties as assigned

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree in Human Resources or related field a plus
  • Three to Five years of experience in Human Resources. Preferably with experience in Recruitment and Employee Relations
  • Proficient with Microsoft office software (ie. Word and Excel). Knowledge of ADP Enterprise, Kronos, Healthcare Source Position Manager experience is a plus
  • Experience in a union avoidance is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Broad knowledge of human resources concepts, practices, legislation and procedures
  • Ability to develop and interpret policies and procedures, to interact effectively with a diverse population at all levels of management and staff
  • Strong attention to details, analytical, and time management skills
