Our team members are collaborative, creative, professional, expert and entrepreneurial.  Joining our team requires skill, daring, leadership, teaming, humor and a love of interiors.  We are presently searching for a full-time Human Resources GeneralistManager in the Financial District of San Francisco. In this position, you will primarily focus on full-cycle employee experience and programs.  Additional responsibilities will include researching, developing, managing and interpreting employee programs and policies. Under minimal supervision of the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Generalist / Manager  will also provide guidance to employees and management on best practices and address general employee relations questions. 

Specific responsibilities will include:
• Provides support in all functional areas of Human Resources
• Researches, implements and interprets employee programs and policies (e.g., employment, training and development, performance management, compensation and benefits, etc.)
• Manages employee programs as assigned by the Director of Human Resources
• Assists the Director of Human Resources in maintenance, revisions and updates to the Employee Handbook and HR related policies and procedures
• Provides guidance to managers and employees on policy questions and potential employee relations concerns. Works with managers to resolve employee-related problems
• Develops and maintains affirmative action program, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
• Responds to employee requests for clarification and assistance
• Administer and maintain company benefits programs (both nationally and internationally.) Manages all FMLA leaves
• Function as liaison between vendors and employees and advising on eligibility, coverage and other benefit matters
• Manages the HRIS system (ADP Workforcenow.)
• Assist on and participate in other duties as needed

 
 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Comprehensive knowledge of HR disciplines: employment law, employee relations, compensation and benefits, job design and career development, performance management and training
• Intermediate MS Office application skills
• Working knowledge of ADP is preferred
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills
• Intermediate presentation skills
• Strong ability to communicate effectively with diverse employee populations
• Proven ability to work effectively with and through employees without having managerial authority
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information
• Ability to travel up to 10%
• Experience in full-cycle recruiting with knowledge and expertise with passive recruiting

Working Conditions:
For the majority of the time the Human Resources Generalist will be sitting in an office with limited physical requirements.  This may require individuals to bend, stretch, twist and reach.  The position is not subject to occupational and safety risks.

Requirements

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in related field; equivalent experience may be substituted
•  5+ years of progressive experience as a human resources generalist with a strong focus on employee relations 
•  2+ years in the A & E industry or a professional service organization is preferred
•  2+ years of experience supporting up to 12 locations
