Gannett Fleming is looking for a Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) Manager responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of HRIS functions associated with Human Capital Management (HCM), Payroll, and Benefits.  The ideal candidate will have significant experience working in Human Resource (HR) business processes, and a demonstrated track record of success in independently leading cross-functional teams in managing projects with both on-premises and cloud based software packages. Qualified candidates will also have experience in leading organizations through technology related change that leads to increased user engagement and adoption.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Leads and/or participates in technology projects to include; identifying and analyzing business needs, business case development, project planning and management, functional specification documentation, solution design and implementation
  • Provides general system support, including configuration, regular maintenance, troubleshooting, data collection and validation, process testing, reporting and training
  • Responsible for project specifications, test planning and execution efforts, deployment and post-deployment support, and system parallel management
  • Engages internal clients with requirements gathering, process re-design and gap analysis. Recommends and implements process improvements to harmonize, standardize and streamline HR processes to provide efficiencies through automation and optimize the use of the HRIS
  • Liaisons with vendors for ongoing support issues, upgrades, instance management, patching etc.
  • Performs project work tasks as required to meet project deadlines and internal client expectations
  • Manages project issues and risks, communicates status and escalates concerns to project sponsors/business owners
  • Manages project's scope, budget, and hours estimates; and coordinates resources involved with the software implementation and change controls
  • Generates and maintains key project documents, project plans, project workbooks, status reports, issue and resolution logs, and change control documents
  • Maintain business process documentation that enables standardization and supports regulatory, policy, and procedural compliance
  • Lead HR business intelligence function coordinating the best use of reporting tools/resources, managing report demand, and assuring the standard production of all HR internal and external reports

Requirements

 Skills / Competencies:

  • Strong project planning and management skills and a proven ability to lead teams to deliver high quality deliverables on time and within budget
  • Ability to effectively plan, set priorities, allocate resources and manage multiple projects simultaneously while working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with management, IT professionals, external vendor service providers, end users, and employee “customers” of HR services
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and define how effectively varying technologies and business practices meet business requirements
  • Proficiency with desktop applications or enterprise reporting applications for use in communication, ad hoc querying, report specification, development, analysis, testing and presentations
  • Strong functional HR process and practice acumen and technical aptitude
  • Business knowledge of Oracle HCM Fusion applications desirable, but not required

 Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field is required
  • Five plus years of expereince in HRIS management, HR generalist or analyst role supporting HR technology-enabled services is perferred
  • Five years or more of project management experience leading or coordinating technology based transformations
  • Experience with large-scale HCM ERP systems preferred
