We are seeking a dynamic, personable, Human Resources Manager to join our team who will be responsible for providing professional, confidential and efficient administrative support of day-to-day people and Human Capital operations as well as manage the candidate discovery through onboarding process. This position will work closely with our Operations team and will report into the Director of Human Resources.  

Ongoing responsibilities will include recruiting talent, coordinating interviews, new hire onboarding, administrative day-to-day Human Resources support, and identifying and implementing tools and processes to improve Human Resources at Day One such as the management of applicant tracking and freelance talent.

This position is the first point of contact most prospective candidates will have with Day One and a positive and enthusiastic demeanor is imperative.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and proactive with excellent written and oral communications skills. Additionally, candidates should have a flair for identifying talent that match both the skills required of an open position and are a good cultural fit. Candidates should demonstrate resourcefulness and a desire to learn and be a part of helping us grow.

  • Source and review resumes from various online sources

  • Conduct phone screens to assess candidates

  • Professionally correspond with candidates

  • Post on online job boards

  • Schedule and confirm initial interviews

  • Strengthen the brand in every conversation, email, and interaction

  • Actively participate in staffing-related activities and engage in cross-functional projects

  • Develop and manage employee calendars (vacation, birthday, etc)

  • Provides support for compensation and benefits functions including payroll, benefits administration and performance appraisal program

  • Be part of the on-boarding process: coordinates and conducts new employee orientation and processes new employee paperwork

  • Identify, implement and manage an Applicant Tracking System and Freelance Talent System

  • Coordinate with the Operations team with regard to candidate and new hire processing

  • Provide administrative support to the Director of Human Resources

  • 2-4 years of Human Resources experience, with 1-2+ years experience in Recruiting

  • Excellent inter-personal, organization, and communication skills

  • Proficient computer skills, ie. Microsoft Office

  • Passion for people, organization and excitement to collaborate in a fast-paced team environment

  • Extremely self-motivated, organized and reliable

  • Exhibit an entrepreneurial spirit and enjoy contributing to the creation of new systems, company culture
