Job Details

Huntington Learning Corporation seeks talented Human Resource/Payroll Manager to join the team.  The position is responsible for supporting all aspects of Human Resources with the highest level of professionalism, including, but not limited to developing, managing and implementing HR programs and guidelines for Benefits.   

 

Primary responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Prepare and file all quarterly returns for multiple states
  • Handle confidential matters and act discreetly with solid judgment
  • Oversee the administration of payroll, and all employee benefits including health, dental, life/disability, FSA and 401K
  • Manage all third party insurance relationships
  • Process all workers compensation and unemployment claims
  • Prepare bi-weekly 401K contributions and manage all loans, distributions and required reporting
  • Maintain employee personnel and HR files and ensure compliance with all applicable laws
  • Maintain and distribute employee handbook along with new hire packages and orientation
  • Administer and manage company training programs
  • Manage all employee evaluations including documentation for all disciplining actions and terminations
  • Document workflow and work procedures
  • Cross-trains designated back-up to administer and process time and attendance and payroll
  • Prepare and maintain standard and ad hoc reports, queries, and conduct appropriate audits to ensure data integrity

 

 

 

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Must possess a minimum of 7+ years of experience working with Benefits or related HR field
  • Must have 5 years of managerial experience
  • Skilled in MS Office, most importantly Excel
  • Strong knowledge of HRMS, specifically Time and Attendance and Payroll, Paycom preferred
  • Sound knowledge of federal, state and local laws related to employment, compensation, benefits and legal compliance
  • Proficiency and experience working with COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA
  • "SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP Preferred"
