Human Resources Administrative Assistant

We are committed to finding and developing a dedicated and strong Human Resources Administrative Assistant for our Baltimore office. 

Requirements

Essential Duties:

Assist the Human Resources Department with carrying out various human resource programs and procedures for all employees.

·         Assist the Human Resources Manager with employee/personnel projects to include mailings, monthly reports, and other various HR tasks.

·         Participate in benefits administration to include open enrollment activities, wellness activities, change reporting and approving invoices for payment.

·         Participate in recruitment efforts to include new-employee orientation and new hire paperwork; administer employment processing; coordinate college career fairs.

·         Participate in organizational leadership and training efforts.

·         File EEO-1 report annually; maintain other records, reports and logs pertaining to applicant flow procedures; verify employment status.

·         Arrange travel and hotel accommodations.

·         Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

·         Maintain human resources information system records and compile reports from the database as needed.

·         Maintain confidential personnel files and personnel actions.

·         Participate in administrative staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminars.

·         Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.

·         Help maintain employee organization charts and the employee directory.

 

Qualifications

·         Associate’s degree preferred.

·         A minimum four years previous administrative human resources support experience required.

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience using ADP preferred.

·         Effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills.

·         Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in all aspects of job.

·         Attention to detail.
