Job Details

The Human Resources Department of Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP has an opening for a Human Resources Administrative Coordinator in the Washington, D.C. Office. The HR Administrative Coordinator has firm wide responsibilities for handling and processing life cycle employee data through a variety of databases and spreadsheets in support of the Human Resources Department.  Additionally, the Human Resources Administrative Coordinator will handle a number of other functions to include but not limited to: drafting monthly HR budget variances, responding to employment verifications and survey requests, training new employees on the timecard system and other administrative responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Minimum two years' experience in an administrative support position.  Experience in a law firm, corporate or professional environment preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency using databases, MSWord and Excel.
  • Familiarity with PowerPoint is a plus. 
  • A minimum typing speed of 50 wpm.
  • Two-year college degree or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks, with a sense of urgency, while maintaining high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate a high degree of trustworthiness in handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Strong client services skills.
  • Flexibility to work additional hours, as needed.
