Overall Responsibility

The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for assisting the Human Resources department with procedures to ensure organizational efficiency.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Assists with all human resource functions such as new hire and post-hire paperwork, performing background checks, inputting of new hires into the payroll system.
  • Maintain communication with Management to assure accuracy of employee documentation
  • Verifies I-9 documentation and assures proper federal required procedures are followed
  • Prepares, updates and maintains employee files
  • Maintains confidentiality

Skills and Attributes

  • Working knowledge of Human Resources.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications.
  • Must be able to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities to use time efficiently.

Requirements

Requirements

  • Bilingual - Spanish and English

Education/Experience

  • Associates Degree preferred.
  • At least two years of previous experience in office administration/human resources.
