Human Resources Advisor
- HR Generalist
Serves as primary client contact for strategic Human Resources issues, and day-to-day delivery of services; provides guidance, counsel and policy interpretation on complex Human Resources issues; works collaboratively with other areas of HR to assess client needs and deliver integrated services, while mitigating risks.
•Functions as technical expert to clients on Human Resources issues including but not limited to, employee relations, performance management, staffing consultation, organization support, compensation administration and alternative dispute resolution. Provides policy and regulatory interpretation and guidance.
•Consults with management to develop customized and innovative solutions to support client business needs. Provides counsel and guidance to clients on performance management; oversees performance appraisal and ICP/SP processes for clients, provides guidance and develops strategies for employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, coaching, and terminations that mitigate risk.
•Performs project management duties and responsibilities on HR issues and initiatives such as program implementations, and reorganizations.
•Partners with other HR areas to lead integrated delivery of HR services.
•Typically requires bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or other related field, or related field and supervisory experience, and 5 years of previous work experience, across multiple HR disciplines at the professional level highly desirable. HR certification desired.
•Working knowledge of state and federal employment/human resources law and regulations, and progressive broad human resources experience required
•Strong consultative, interpersonal and oral and written communications skills required; must be proficient at managing multiple priorities and accomplishing simultaneous demands in a high-pressure environment.
•Must be able to partner with all levels of the organization to constructively resolve differences and develop solutions to complicated issues. Ability to manage client expectations required. Must be effective at promoting collaborative cross-functional relationships.
•Strong knowledge of statistics and the development and use of metrics with a working knowledge of database and spreadsheet software.
