Bressler, Amery & Ross, a law firm with over 180 attorneys in 6 locations, is seeking a part-time Human Resources Assistant. 

This role provides assistance with and facilitates the human resources process for all of the firm’s offices. Based in Florham Park, this role provides administrative support to the human resources function as needed including record-keeping, file maintenance, and HRIS entry.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Participate in the new employee on-boarding process, including creating new hire packets, employment and benefits files.
  • Communicate with new hires prior to their start date to assist with their transition.
  • Maintain EEO spreadsheet.
  • Assist with periodic diversity reports.
  • Assist with processing departures.
  • Involvement with various phases of the recruitment process, including screening of resumes and phone screening candidates.
  • Provide assistance in all open enrollment activities during year-end.
  • Quarterly 401k review relating to compensation, contributions, and firm match.
  • Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions in a timely manner.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure proper compliance.
  • Assist with the preparation of the performance review process.
  • Maintenance of time-keeping reporting system.
  • Keep employee files current.
  • Coordinate employee meetings, luncheons, etc.
  • Assist with other projects as needed.






Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent HR experience.
  • 3 years’ experience, preferably in a law firm.
  • Microsoft applications.  Proficiency in Excel is a must.
  • Performance management software.
