GTL is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) who will be embedded in the business, operate with a consultative approach, and provide a best-in-class employee and customer experience. This role is critical in executing our people initiatives, providing great internal customer support, driving HR functional excellence and process improvement. The HRBP will need to establish relationships with leaders, managers and staff within departments to understand needs in a variety of HR areas.


This resource will serve as a consultant/partner to both the senior leaders and management teams with the goal of aligning best HR practices to business strategies. The HRBP will focus on creating a performance-based culture that is aligned with business outcomes. This position will report to the Sr. Human Resources Manager and will assist to establish holistic rewards and recognition strategies that are designed to differentiate employee performance and identify relevant engagement drivers that have the highest impact on employee engagement. The HRBP will be evaluated on their ability to improve employee retention of key talent, improve employee engagement, align financial incentives with outcomes and establish a differentiated performance model. This individual will also work on HR projects and initiatives as required and will report out of the Ontario, Oregon office. The HRBP will be required to travel up to 40%.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Serve as the HR point of contact and account manager for the business segment

  • Coordinate and broker HR services to meet specific business needs

  • Responsible for collaborating to design an organization that effectively executes their business strategy and produces requisite business results

  • Collaborate with HR and line leaders to develop and execute HR programs and processes that support specific business objectives

  • Assist with developing a change management strategy to support the implementation of HR business programs and initiatives in support of business transformation activities. The HRBP will act as the senior adviser inside the organization during the implementation phase

  • Work closely with senior leaders and managers to provide expertise and hands on support in multiple areas including: workforce planning, employee retention/relations/engagement, management coaching, performance management and change management

  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase engagement and retention

  • Manage, recommend and implement remedies on employee relations issues (to include conducting thorough and objective investigations, assessing risk and determining appropriate course of action)

  • Provide performance management guidance to line management for coaching, counseling, career development and disciplinary actions

  • Act as the point-of-contact and advisor on compensation actions, including individual promotions, equity adjustments and related actions

  • Track and analyze statistics on employee suspensions, terminations and voluntary separations for assigned contracts. Recommend action based on this analysis

  • Responsible for hiring initiatives for all call center locations







•             A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Human Resources

•             A Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field or the equivalent combination of education, professional training and work experience

•             Professional Certification (PHR, SPHR) preferred

•             Experience working in or supporting a call center environment

•             Experience recruiting in a fast-paced environment to fill open positions and create a pipeline of candidates to fill additional positions quickly

•             Demonstrated experience partnering with managers to deliver HR solutions

•             Experience providing hands-on HR Business Partner support for dispersed employee populations

•             Proven ability to engage, interact and influence business outcomes

•             Experience handling complex HR issues and communicating in a heavily matrixed organization

•             Demonstrated experience driving organizational change initiatives and influencing business managers

•             Business knowledge with the ability to understand financials and business model dynamics

•             Excellent relationship management skills

•             Excellent verbal and written communication skills

•             Ability and willingness to travel up to 40%
