Job Details

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), Refining provides strategic and consultative support to a designated Refinery location. HRBPs need to be able to work independently, make recommendations for solutions and implementation, and provide guidance and support on HR issues/processes that impact the Refinery. We are looking for experienced early career HRBPs that are willing to relocate in order to gain valuable field operations experience.

 

Responsibilities may include:

  • Providing HR direction, consultation, advice and support to managers regarding compensation, employee development, diversity, staffing, talent and succession management
  • Developing a full understanding of the functions' business and goals so that people strategies are value adding and targeted to address specific business strategies and needs
  • Executing on operational HR activities which support the business strategy and long range plan
  • Development and communication to management of people metrics and efforts (PME) for the Refinery
  • Managing staffing headcount to meet Refinery business plan
  • Managing staff hiring processes for exempt and non-exempt hiring
  • Developing and communicating Affirmative Action Plans
  • Conducting internal investigations; providing a final written summary of findings to the appropriate level of management and/or to the Ethics department
  • Administration of compensation system and staff performance management processes
  • Management of engineering campus recruiting and internships
  • Managing policy administration

Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 or more years of direct experience in human resources
  • Willingness to relocate to a Refinery location within the continental United States within the next 6 months
