Job Details

Serves as an internal Human Resources business partner to Strategic employees, delivering comprehensive human resources programs, initiatives and solutions in support of increased employee and organizational performance. This includes providing proactive, innovative, customer-focused HR solutions that are aligned with the needs of the business objectives. Solutions and strategies may include talent management/development, performance management, consultation on employee relations issues, benefits administration, and modeling values and building a culture in alignment with Corporate. Responsible for developing credible and trusting relationships with senior leaders, managers and employees. Reports to Vice President of Human Resources.

  • Assisting with implementation and administration of company-wide human resources policies, procedures and practices, including but not limited to; performance management, corrective actions and internal investigations, talent review and organizational changes. This is completed in accordance with stated corporate objectives and federal and state legal requirements
  • Providing input in design and development of company-wide HR initiatives and programs to ensure alignment with business requirements
  • Advising management with respect to employee relations and performance management issues, with an emphasis on early identification and resolution
  • Assisting HR in developing solutions through organizational development (e.g., restructuring, roles and responsibility clarification, competency development, etc.)
  • Facilitating leadership development and key talent retention efforts (e.g. coaching/counseling, employee recognition, etc.)
  • Partnering with specialized HR areas including talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, training and HRIS to ensure specific needs of the divisions are being met
  • Gathering and analyzing data to assess the effectiveness of HR initiatives
  • Flexibility to work on special projects that fall in any of the following areas: Benefits, Training and Development, HRIS, Compliance, Employee Relations and Engagement

Requirements

Requirements:

 

5+ years’ HR generalist experience : 5 or more years of HR experience in a generalist capacity with focus on HR business partner skills, employee benefits and employee relations.

 

Strong Communication Skills: Superior written and oral communication skills; ability to present information and influence decisions; comfort working with people from diverse backgrounds and at all levels within the organization

 

Strong Problem-Solving Skills: Analytical thinking and project management skills

 

Adaptability: Comfort working in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment; flexible in response to changing employee needs; maintain professionalism and composure under pressure

 

Organizational Skills: Extremely organized; ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines; meticulous attention to detail

 

Regulatory/Compliance: In-depth knowledge of federal and NYS Employment laws

 

Computer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point); experience with ADP Workforce strongly preferred; familiarity with online recruiting tools and job sites

 

Educational Requirements:

 

Bachelor’s degree required
