Job Details

Acelero Learning is seeking an inspired, collaborative professional to join us as the Human Resources Business Partner at our Camden/Philadelphia program. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves on the senior leadership team and is responsible for aligning business objectives with the employees and management in the delegate.  The position serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues. The successful HRBP acts as an employee champion, change agent and proactive problem solver.  The HRBP maintains a strong understanding of our business.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic consultation to leadership on a broad spectrum of HR issues and opportunities.

  • Create, drive, and implement people strategies that align and support business needs.

  • Analyze data trends to develop solutions, programs, and policies to support strategic objectives.

  • Conduct monthly meetings with center directors and other leadership team members.  Follow through on deliverables and effectively report out important trends or findings.

  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations.

  • Provide performance management guidance to leadership (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).

  • Work closely with leadership and employees to improve engagement and increase retention.  

  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.

  • Provide guidance on delegate structure, workforce planning, and succession planning.

  • Identify training needs and partners with the leadership and the professional development team to deliver effective professional development with special emphasis on new employee onboarding and manager training. Follows through to ensure training objectives are met.

  • Leads the local HR department to provide HR administration and operational services efficiently and effectively. This includes meeting all compliance obligations

  • Partner with the shared services recruiting team to ensure adequate staffing.  

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field; SPHR / SHRM-SCP certification preferred

  • Knowledge of multiple Human Resources disciplines; Knowledge of federal and state employment and benefit laws

  • Five to ten years of direct Human Resources Management experience with emphasis on employee relations; business partner experience preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; demonstrated flexibility to handle multiple priorities

  • Computer literacy skills, including proficiency in MS Office or Google Apps; Proficiency of HRIS and ATS required

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to analyze data and provide recommendations

  • Prior experience working in Head Start or early childhood education or related field a plus

  • Valid Driver’s license required; Some travel required

  • Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public
