Job Details

The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for preparing and maintaining employment records related to actions such as hiring, termination, leave, transfers, or promotions for a large health care organization. Processes various forms such as background checks, employment eligibility verifications (I-9) and a variety of other hiring documents. Creates and reviews all department personnel forms for completeness, accuracy, timing, and conformity to policy guidelines. Acts as the liaison with SHS Clinic/Department managers, administrative staff, Human Resource representatives and others as necessary to obtain and provide personnel information. Assists with determining salary compensation for vacant positions by comparing similar position using an occupational information database. Anticipate and identify potential human resource and payroll problems to minimize the financial and operational impact to SHS. Communicate and educate department personnel policies and/or benefit changes. Investigate, document, and resolve unique payroll and human resource problems and issues. Oversees, guides, and coordinates search committee activities to fill vacant positions. Assists with the coordination of the Employee Performance Review System (EPMS) process. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described above.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree, or high school diploma and 4 years work experience that is directly related to the area of employment; or equivalency.

Preferred Requirements

2 years of Human Resources experience.
