Loudoun County Government, located in Leesburg, Virginia, is seeking a qualified Human Resources Data Specialist to join the Department of Human Resources. As a HR Data Specialist you will perform data entry of all personnel actions into the Oracle HCM system as well as data maintenance tasks and system testing. Specifically, this position will: perform data entry of all new hires, rehires, terminations, reclassifications, promotions, transfers, demotions, leaves of absence, status changes, salary adjustments, data corrections, title changes, GL changes, etc.; review personnel transactions to ensure alignment with HR policies and procedures; ensure information is keyed accurately into the system and all applicable fields are updated; forward personnel action forms as needed to Payroll or other HR sections for processing; research, analyze and correct data errors with employee records in Oracle; perform data entry in a timely manner to meet Payroll deadlines; and assist HR Workforce Planning, Benefits and Payroll staff in the processing of personnel actions and in correcting errors.

This position will also perform employee data maintenance and data clean-up in the Oracle HCM system; audit and review employee data in Oracle to ensure accuracy; works closely with Information Technology, Finance and Payroll staff to ensure accurate employee data in Oracle and to correct data errors; conduct and support testing in Oracle for the application of patches and for system upgrades as needed; support ERP system implementation activities by performing tasks including, but not limited to, writing and reviewing test scripts, data validation, and performing system tests; and query data to create, maintain, and generate system reports as required.

Contribute your knowledge of best practices to create, maintain, and update procedures and documentation practices, to include an Oracle HCM personnel actions manual and HR SOPs related to data entry and data maintenance.

Provide customer service to departmental staff in processing personnel actions.

Develop, facilitate, and participate in training for staff on processing transactions in support of the Oracle HCM system.

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources Management, Information Technology, or related field of study, and two (2) years of directly related experience. Experience in processing HR personnel actions and/or ensuring data integrity highly preferred. The successful candidate will be a strong collaborative, and should be able to build strong relationships with HR teams and County agencies, and function in a fast-paced environment. Successful candidate will undergo criminal background and credit checks.
