Job Details

Clatsop County is inviting applications for a Human Resources Director to plan, develop, and administer Human Resources programs including recruitment, selection, compensation, benefits, training, performance evaluation, personnel policies, equal employment opportunity, safety, and employee recognition. This position negotiates and/or serves on the negotiating team, facilitates negotiation planning, and administers and interprets collective bargaining agreements. Provides general management support to County Manager.

Requires Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Public Administration, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Personnel/Human Resources Administration or a related field.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Human Resources management including one (1) year of administrative or supervisory responsibility; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Desired qualifications: Master's Degree in Industrial Relations. Previous experience in the public sector in a similar capacity. Certification as a Professional in Human Resources Management (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources Management (SPHR) through the Society for Human Resources Management is highly desirable.
