Human Resources Director

The Human Resources Director will be responsible for developing HR policies and coordinating activities related to workplace policies and programs, employee relations, compliance, and staffing. The Human Resources Director will ensure positive employee relations and promote a productive working environment, as well as coordinate with various levels of management in order to instill uniform policies and monitor their effectiveness. 

Responsibilities:

The Human Resources Director will be responsible for:

  • Creating policy and procedure presentations for both managers and employees
  • In coordination with legal counsel, ensuring HR polices are in compliance with local and federal law
  • Managing recruitment and screening of applicants, including interviewing, testing, and performing background checks
  • Developing the employee benefit program, ensuring cost effectiveness, employee satisfaction, and compliance, and providing purchase recommendations
  • Designing compliance, affirmative action, and equal opportunity employee programs
  • Analyzing present compensation/benefits policies and determining improvements

Requirements

Skills/ Competencies:

The ideal Human Resources Director will possess these skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources
  • 5-7 years’ experience
  • PHR, SHRM certification
  • Thorough knowledge of employment laws (state, local, federal)
  • Experience with benefits design and multi-state organizational HR policy design and development
  • Supervisory experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Additional Details:

  • Salary: $95-115K
  • Employment Type:  Direct Hire
