Job Details

The Human Resources Director develops, implements and oversees Human Resources strategies, programs, policies and processes in support of Engineering and Product Management organizational objectives. Partners with engineering and product management leadership on talent strategies including organizational design, talent development, talent acquisition, compensation planning and employee engagement. Leverages regional HR teams to manage local issues and planning. Strong emphasis on talent management and organizational design / effectiveness for engineering and product management globally. 

Scope:

HR Director for global engineering and product management dual reports to the HRVP and the VP of Global Engineering. Has three functional reports (NA, EMEA, APAC) from the regional engineering centers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partners with and provide guidance to global engineering and product management leadership teams on all areas of the HR function (e.g. Talent Management, Leadership Development, Staffing, Compensation, Engagement, etc.).

  • Actively participates in the financial planning process and technical reviews; builds people and organizational plans to enable differentiated functional business results.

  • Acquires a deep knowledge of the backgrounds, strengths, weaknesses, and development needs of key talent within the function.

  • Develops the people strategy ensuring alignment with functional objectives, and the long-term strategic vision of the function and organization.

  • Partners with the Talent Acquisition team to build a strong pipeline of talent to ensure a diverse high performing organization.

  • Champions the effective use of change management principles, strategies and techniques to plan, implement and evaluate change.

  • Provides leadership to shape the organization’s culture, design and effectiveness to enable change.

  • Leads global functional engagement initiatives with the functional leadership teams.

  • Assesses culture and develops action plans to ensure a positive, engaging, and supportive workplace.

  • Other duties as assigned.

     

Requirements

Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree a plus.

  • 7-10 years of progressive experience in human resources or organizational development roles.

  • Background / experience in talent management, talent development and organizational design.

Skills:

  • Must have experience in talent management and organizational design.

  • Global experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to produce results within a team environment and to develop productive working relationships at all levels of the organization.

  • Strong change management, analytical, problem solving, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Experience building organizational capability to ensure organizational readiness and capability to meet changing business conditions.

  • Cross cultural / global awareness.]

Travel:

  • Up to 30% travel may be required globally.
