Working with the senior management team and reporting to the Chief Executive Officer the Human Resources (HR) Director is responsible for all aspects of Human Resources including but not limited to workforce management, compensation, benefits, employee relations, staff development and training. A key responsibility is to formulate and implement policies and plans to meet LRMC’s strategic plan and to foster the aspiration of LRMC being the employer choice in our healthcare community.

Little River Medical Center, Inc., (LRMC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) Located along the Grand Strand, Myrtle Beach area of South Carolina. LRMC has been providing a wide range of primary health care and dental services to a vast and diverse population for the past 39 years.


LRMC’s administrative offices are located in Little River, South Carolina at its main site which is just North of North Myrtle Beach right on the coast. LRMC has 6 Medical Center sites, 2 dental offices, and a school based dental program in over 22 schools in Horry County, SC.


Governed by a Board of Directors LRMC has an operating budget of $26,700,000.00 annually and over 300 total employees. LRMC serves over 30,000 thousand patients annually. Revenues are comprised of a mix of managed care, third-party and patient revenue and federal, state and local grants and contracts.  Experience in Federally Qualified Health Center's (FQHC) a plus.

Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible leadership HR management work experience preferably in the healthcare field.

Bachelor’s Degree required.

SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP required. Advanced degree in a related area (Human Resources Management, Healthcare Administration) is desirable.

Excellent organization and problem solving skills including employee dispute resolutions and discipline processes. Must have working knowledge of Employment and Labor Laws, Workers Compensation, etc.

Excellent knowledge of employment contract negotiations, and development of employment agreements.

Experience in recruitment, employment and retention of health care providers is required.

Experience in hiring (recruitment, interviewing, new employee orientation, and retention)

Must have excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.

Strong PC skills with a Microsoft Office environment.

Ability to work well with a diverse staff and to work multiple projects at a time.
