Human Resources Director of Development and Compliance

The Director of Development and Compliance is responsible for the administration of the College’s staff development needs assessment and initiatives, performance management, and compliance with employment law. These responsibilities include monitoring all employment activities for equity and compliance with federal and state laws in conjunction with College personnel policies and procedures and assisting employees and supervisors on matters related to employment.


Minimum education and experience includes Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Human Resources or Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Business Management, or related discipline; three (3) years Human Resources experience performing generalist functions on a professional and/or managerial level which provides a thorough knowledge of Human Resources operations and the effective management of its functions; and experience with providing training to employees on Human Resources and leadership related topics.

Minimum abilities and skills include proven managerial abilities; interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with executives, supervisors, faculty, staff, and the public; effective oral and written communication skills; sensitivity to the needs and concerns of all employees and employee groups; ability to analyze complex situations and make decisions quickly and consistently after weighing all factors; self-starter who can work independently; functional ability with microcomputer with mainframe applications; and possession of a valid driver’s license.
