Job Summary:

The Director of Human Resources is a demonstrated HR leader who has a track record of success in the Human Resources field. This role is a key partner within the senior management group and provides functional leadership in the area of HR. This individual will serve in a consultative capacity partnering and supporting several businesses and managing the day to day HR activity.   This individual will thrive in a fast-paced environment and is very “hands on”.


Essential responsibilities include:

  • Partners with leadership to develop and manage an HR strategy that aligns with the business strategy
  • Identifies problems and work with leadership to identify solutions to success
  • Maintains positive employee relations, responds to employee concerns
  • Develops and implements HR policies and procedures in support of business needs
  • Provides HR generalist support in the areas of compensation, benefits, staffing
  • Manages and maintains the performance management process
  • Serves as consultative partner to a number of businesses within the Hatcheri group to meet the needs of the business
  • Manages a high-volume employment to maintain and grow our part-time/non-exempt events team
  • Develops and trains managers on employment practices, processes and compliance
  • Manages and develops the HR function and ensure organizational compliance.
  • Advise managers on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment, and recommend needed changes.


Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, HR or related field.  HR certification a plus.


  • 5 to 7 years of progressive functional experience reporting to senior leadership
  • Demonstrated capability in technical HR competencies and business knowledge
  • Prior experience working with multi-brands/companies


  • Strong understanding of various employment laws and their impact on HR matters
  • Ability to work and communicate at all levels, both written and verbal
  • Able to manage high volume employment at the part-time non-exempt level
  • Strong partnering skills, both with leadership and others within the business
  • Demonstrated ability to get results within a team environment, while developing productive working relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Solid analytical, problem solving and employee relation skills
  • Knowledgeable in all key HR functional areas
  • Solid managerial skills, but comfortable and prepared to be “hands-on”.    

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and comfortable with technology, smart phones and basic App usage.
