Job Details

A Company located in Mineola, NY with offices and employees located throughout the USA is seeking an executive to manage the human resources function. The main duties of the position are as follows:  


Recruitment

  • Manage a staff of five human resource professionals.
  • Develop and execute recruitment plans from entry level to executive management.
  • Advertise positions, review applications and schedule interviews.
  • Maintain communication with applicants, send interview, offer and rejection letters. 
  • Maintain applicant pipeline databases.
  • Attend recruitment events such as job fairs and networking events.

Employee Relations

  • Assist in assuring compliance with all federal/state and local employment laws (Wage and Hour, Unemployment, Workers Compensation, FMLA, EEO, ADA, etc.)
  • Analyze employee relations issues. Assist in the investigation of employee complaints. Consult with management in order to make sound and timely recommendations for resolution.
  • Assist in administering employee benefit programs such as medical/dental insurance, 401k, supplemental insurance plans, vacation/holiday and sick leave programs.

Requirements

 

  • Candidates must possess a BA/BS degree in a field of study relevant to  the human resources function.
  • Minimum of five years experience in human resources with strong recruitment, HRIS and employee relations skills.
  • Possession of a PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP is helpful.
  • Excellent communication skills-written and oral.
