Roadtrip Nation seeks a talented Human Resources Generalist to join a cross-disciplinary team that thrives on impact, collaboration, and drinking ridiculous amounts of fancy coffee (or tea, if that’s your thing!)


The human resources generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties at the professional level and works closely with the head of HR in supporting all employees at Roadtrip Nation. This position manages many of the functional responsibilities in the work-place such as policy maintenance, employment law compliance, benefits administration, training and organizational culture and development.

  • Develop human resource solutions and recommending courses of action
  • Assist in developing and implementing internal department policies and procedures
  • Create and maintain processes related to HR documents
  • Ensure accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS
  • Prepare and maintain reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Assist in benefit reconciliation and vendor bills/invoices with HRIS and in partnership with the Accounting team
  • Respond to and follow up on all manner of benefit inquiries from managers and employees
  • Administer background checks and conduct employment verification
  • Assist in the exit interview process
  • Process new hire, status change, and termination paperwork
  • Develop and deliver on-site training and development programs for our employees
  • Assist in maintaining the employee self-service portal
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements
  • Manage relationships with third party administrators and providers
  • File papers and documents into appropriate employee files; performs paper and system audits as necessary
  • Enhance department and organization’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments




  • Bachelor’s degree but experience may be substituted for the education.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in HR.
  • PHR Certification. 


Preferred Eligibility Qualifications

  • SPHR Certification
  • Master’s degree in management, HR, or related field. 
  • "SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP Preferred"
