Job Details

SIMED is currently seeking an energetic individual to join our HR team as a full time HR Generalist

The HR Generalist will primarily be responsible for overseeing our recruiting efforts including candidate outreach as well as data analysis. Additionally, the HR Generalist will supervise our PRN staffing pool and placement of our PRN staff, and assist our management team with personnel issues that arise. Although this position will be based in our Gainesville office, the HR Generalist will also provide support on a weekly or bi-weekly basis to our Ocala and The Villages offices locations and appropriate transportation will be required.

Qualified candidates should minimally have:

  • AA or AS Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field. Experience may substitute for education (REQUIRED)
  • Outgoing personality in order to positively represent the organization. (REQUIRED)
  • PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP (preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) (REQUIRED)
  • Experience with Adobe products (.pdf creation) strongly encouraged
  • 1-3 years in administrative / HR setting (REQUIRED)
  • At least one year of experience with an applicant tracking system or similar (preferred)
  • Proficiency in English and an appropriate and professional speaking voice are required as a significant portion of this position will be telephone driven (as it relates to recruiting)

Some of the duties include, but are not limited to:

Recruiting:

  • Staff analysis to ensure recruitment efforts are approved and appropriate
  • Post positions and screen incoming candidates for management teams
  • Candidate phone screening, application verification and reference checks
  • Assist management team with interviewing as needed
  • Evaluate and monitor current recruiting sources and establish new sources as needed
  • Evaluate current job descriptions and generate job descriptions for new or modified positions
  • Provide correspondence to candidates as needed

PRN Pool

  • Analyze current PRN staffing needs and recruit for additional PRN staff as needed
  • Supervise current PRN employees (provide feedback, perform evaluations and counseling as needed)
  • Work with managers to assign PRN employees as needed

General

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of employee issues
  • Respond to incoming telephone and email requests to the HR Department
  • Scan and manage confidential documents as needed
  • Track and monitor employee retention and turnover using Excel
  • Track and monitor assorted employee statistics using Excel
  • Provide appropriate counsel to management team regarding personnel issues as requested
