Ajinomoto Windsor is currently looking for an experienced and dynamic Human Resources professional to join our team and be part of our new plant in Joplin, Mo.

This position’s primary responsibility is the administration of policies relating to all phases of human resources activities, including the following:


  • Focal person for assisting the Sr. Human Resources Manager with entire recruitment process. This includes advertising, reviewing and evaluating applications and resumes, scheduling and conducting interviews, administering evaluations, screening candidates and presentation of Offer Letters.
  • Developing relationships for all aspects of new hire processing and onboarding, including preparing paperwork for new hires, planning and conducting new employee orientations to educate new employees about company policies and procedures, and fostering a positive attitude toward company goals.

  • Conducting time sensitive and highly confidential investigations, preparing precise and detailed reports to summarize findings for the Sr. Human Resources Manager and executive Management.

  • Providing research and advise on creating new policies and modifying or delete existing policies.

  • Organizing and maintaining employee records; ensuring that employee files are complete and up-to-date; and that all employee actions are properly documented.

  • Administering salary administration and the performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.

  • Provide assistance with wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage rate

  • Preparing reports and recommending procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover

  • Representing the organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations

  • Overseeing the off boarding process in conjunction with the Sr. Human Resources Manager, including: preparation of termination paperwork, scheduling the exit interview, notifying employee of COBRA rights, if applicable, preparation of final paycheck, audit and close employee file, and make necessary changes in computer systems

  • Ensuring the Company is in compliance with all applicable statues and regulations governing employees (including without limitation, the American with Disabilities Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Fair Labor Standards Act, Federal OSHA requirements with respect to posters, notices, announcements, and any other matter concerning compliance


  • 3-5+ years of human resources experience with a history of working in progressively more challenging roles
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity.

  • Strong communications skills (written and oral), interpersonal and presentation skills. Articulate and confident.

  • Strong organizational abilities and strong desire to provide attention to details.

  • Ability to take initiative to complete projects, assignments and tasks.

  • A true team player who is supportive and willing to aid fellow department members when needed.

  • Solid multi-tasking skills to switch from one project to another, while keeping everything moving forward.

  • Familiarity with long and productive hours.

  • Able to work with limited supervision

  • Thorough knowledge of various leave management policies such as FMLA, ADA, STD, LTD, and Workers Compensation

  • Excellent computer skills

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, proficient in Microsoft Power Point.

  • Experience with Kronos would be a plus

  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
