2.     WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR__________________

 

Czarnowski is seeking a motivated and driven HR Generalist to join our Las Vegas team. The ideal candidate will be an experienced HR professional who is business minded with a passion for driving business results through people and culture. We’re looking for someone who understands the role of HR can be serious and fun and is willing to immerse themselves in our company culture while juggling the diverse demands of a full-service HR department.  Employee relations is a big part of this position, so the HR Generalist must have exceptional communication skills and be capable of relating at all levels within the organization.  The HR Generalist will report directly to the Regional Human Resources Manager and will assist with all day-to-day operations of the HR department.  Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills are needed, as well as the desire to learn and grow.

 

3.     ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES_______

 

  • Assists the department in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures, organizational training, and development efforts for company employees.

  • Participates in recruiting and onboarding efforts, to include phone screenings, interviews, reference checks, pre-employment processes, and new hire orientations.

  • Maintains employee records in Human Resource Information System (HRIS), including new hires, transfers, terminations, job classification changes, and tracking paid time off (PTO).

  • Upholds company culture and develops and implements best practices to ensure compliance.

  • Responsible for understanding current local and state regulations for the facilities they support

  • Maintains payroll records and acts as the main approver for payroll every other week.

  • Assists Regional Human Resources Manager with various research projects and/or special projects, including employee engagement and teambuilding activities.

  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality concerning all company matters, including personnel actions, legal actions, terminations, and organizational plans.

  • Performs other related HR or administrative duties as required.

Requirements

3.     DESIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE___________

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in human resource management, business, or related field

  • PHR/ SHRM-CP Certification is preferred but not required

  • Minimum of 3 years of HR or similar experience is required

  • Previous experience with payroll and benefits administration preferred but not required

  • Strong multi-tasking, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills

  • Intermediate to advanced computer literacy, including word processing and spreadsheets

  • Ability to work well under deadlines and respond to changes in priorities

  • Attention to detail and experience handling sensitive and confidential information

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and see projects through to completion

  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule, including working additional hours in order to meet tight deadlines and/or travelling as needed

  • Ability to motivate, engage and develop people
