Incumbent will be responsible for providing a variety of human resource services and employee relations support to include HR policies, procedures, and programs including employment, HRIS, payroll, benefits, safety, trainings, and partnering with all levels of our organization.



  • Participates in developing HRM department goals, objectives, and systems.

  • Complies with all legal and corporate guidelines to include the Group Code of Ethics within your job scope of the Human Resources Department and organization.

  • Complies with federal and state regulations concerning employment, auditing, and reporting to include EEO/AAP, DOL, OSHA, ADA, FMLA, IRS, etc.

  • Acts as liaison between employee and management to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices and regulations.

  • Assist in development and updating of local human resources policies and handbook.

  • Maintains Human Resources Information System records and compiles reports from multiple databases.

  • Conducts payroll, benefits, time & attendance processing and administrative reporting.

  • Assists and advises company managers and employees with performance evaluations, trainings, and documentation.

  • Conducts recruitment, hiring, and new employee orientations.

  • Completes and maintains affirmative action program; files US EEO-1 annually.

  • Active Safety Committee Member managing OSHA log and return to work programs.

  • Partners with Nexans NA locations on human resources initiatives.

  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree in HRM, Business Administration, or related field.

  • PHR or SHRM CP certification strongly desired.

  • Five years experience within the HR field, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong HRIS and computer skills, preferably with ADP, KRONOS, Success Factors and Microsoft Office skills.

  • Good communications and organizational skills.

  • Must be flexible with working hours to accommodate HR functions.

  • Physical requirements include: sit for extended periods of time and stand up to 4 hours at a time; lift up to 20 pounds occasionally; type frequently for extended periods of time; use and touch tools such as keyboard, scissors, stapler, and writing utensils frequently; speak English clearly; view PC monitor frequently; wear PPE safety glasses and safety shoes in the plant; and hear in person, to talk on phone and for emergency alarms and pages.
